  • Although there are many ways to develop an international arts/creative project, many people get discouraged because they either don't have a lot of international experience or they don't know where to look for funding.  Some feel it's a "Catch 22" -  you can't get international work without international experience, but you can't get international experience if no one gives you a break.  There are alternatives to this.  Filmmaker and creative entrepreneur, Lisa Russell who creatively financed and produced her first international short film, shares her insight on outlets to identify potential funders, respond to RFPs (Request for Proposals) seeking creative consultants, or to position yourself as a creative professional who is interested in international projects. As a curator of artists at the UN, she also offers opportunities to artists and creative professionals to join her roster and participate in her various creative initiatives.  This webinar speaks to those who are either established in their careers but want to learn ways to diversify their portfolio or those beginning their careers and want advice on how to secure their first project.
